We’re celebrating 7 years in business! A birthday is a great time to reflect on what you’ve achieved over the last year and so we thought it would be fun to reflect on all the positive things that have happened for YST this year.
We have had a couple of new starters in the last year taking us to a team of 9! It didn’t take them long to find their feet and have fitted in straight away. We truly do have the dream team.
We have had 17 new clients this year. We have had a couple of one-off jobs doing Xero set-ups and training, as well as some new retainer clients. We want to thank all our clients for their continued support. We have had some amazing feedback recently and this really helps us to ensure we are giving everyone the best service.
At Christmas we spread some charitable warmth by donating tins of food to the Hatters Outreach providing essentials for the homeless. Then at Easter the team rallied around to donate chocolate eggs to St Annes Hospice. As a business we decided to join Inspire 25 Club (Speed of Sight charity) which enables businesses to support and change lives of people living with life-limiting disabilities. We’re really excited and proud to part of this charity and look forward to being more involved next year.
Wow what a year it has been for networking! There have been some weeks when we have not even seen our Business Operations Director Hayley. From weekly networking on zoom, out walking in nature, giving presentations in hotels to being invited to the Stockport Mayor’s inauguration she has been kept extremely busy! Not forgetting our Clients Operation Director Claire and our Business Support Manager Adele who have been out and about meeting new people over the last year.
If anyone knows us, they know we LOVE a night out. We were kindly invited to one of our client’s big summer party as well as another client’s charity afternoon tea. We pride ourselves on being friendly and approachable and we’re glad this is recognised by our clients. Since lockdown ended, we have made sure to make up for it with our nights out filled with prosecco and late-night dancing.
We were fortunate enough to go to London for XeroCon this year after 2 years of it being cancelled. As Xero heroes it really is important as a business to be able to attend. We always find out the latest apps and updates for our clients and the after party is always legendary!
We love technology not only for our clients but for ourselves. We know that time is precious, and we want to make life easier for everyone. We have embraced a lot of new systems this year that have helped save time, learnt new things and grew our skills.
Not bad for our 7th year in business! We have so much already planned for the next year including a Xero drop in at our offices, our first business exhibition and much much more!
Have you got a work birthday coming up? We highly recommend reflecting on your past year and all that you have achieved and asking yourself some questions on how to succeed the next year. We sourced a few questions to start you off!
- Is your business where you want it to be?
- What do you want to achieve this year?
- Do you have the right resources to do achieve this?
